Como Book Fair is looking for volunteers, "girls and boys come forward"

Como, May 21, 2025 – For those who love the world of books and would like to be part of an important cultural event, the association “Manifestazioni librarie” of Como is looking for volunteers, aged 18 and over, for the 73rd edition of the “ Fiera del libro ”, one of the oldest in Italy. The event will be held in Piazza Cavour in Como from August 23 to September 7, and applications are open until July 5, by filling out an online form: https://forms.office.com/e/5HzMtDJWf6. The role of the volunteers is to welcome the public and guests, explain the theme of the meeting, and tell about the events at the Fair.

The rules

The volunteers also have the task of managing the public and spaces during the presentations and of distributing the programs to all those who enter the Fair, with shifts that require a commitment of 3 or 4 hours maximum per day. Every year the Fair, in collaboration with local and national publishing houses, invites authors from all over Italy to present their books and discuss topics that range across all genres for all ages . The writers meet the public at the stand that is set up in Piazza Cavour in front of the lake. For the volunteers, training sessions will be organized and a contact person for active volunteers will always be available, in addition to guaranteeing insurance coverage.

How to participate

“Curiosity , a good relational predisposition and the desire to put the required requirements into play” , say the organizers.
